How to Battle Anxiety Panic Attacks By The Time You Need it Most

Are you the adventurous type of person who loves to explore the great outdoors and feel the ultimate adrenaline pumping experience? The feeling of thrilling rush is indeed an incomparable experience.

For some people, however, the rush of adrenaline in their veins is not a pleasure but pain.

Unfortunately, most Americans experience this dreadful feeling, a disorder most commonly known to many as anxiety panic attacks.

Anxiety disorder displays a handful of outward symptoms, often times resembling that of other conditions such as depression. However, there are signs that are more prevalent like dry feeling inside the mouth. A cotton feeling inside the mouth is one of the most awful symptoms of anxiety panic attacks.

Following this cotton feeling, the patient starts to feel the presence of lumps around the throat. This experience often leaves the patient struggling especially during meals.

A hurting pressure around the chest follows this and causes the patient to gasp for air. Because of the oxygen deficiency, hands start to sweat heavily and shake uncontrollably. At this point, the severity of the anxiety panic attacks is setting in.

Most anxiety panic attacks last for about 20 minutes on average. However, the duration may vary from patient to patient depending on the activity of the person. In rare case, attacks may occur in the middle of a relaxation activity, while sitting on the couch perhaps.

In addition, in some occasions, attacks take place while the person is busy watching TV or reading a magazine.

Medication and therapeutic treatments are the leading methods in dealing with anxiety panic attacks. While this disorder is an apparent cause of panic, members of the family, partner or co-workers around you should know that there is a way to treat the condition.

Interestingly, most experts advise that support groups and you, as patient, should perform these methods separately.

Therapeutic treatments and medication do not even necessarily need the presence of a specialist, although professional consultation is very imperative. If you suspect to suffer from anxiety panic attacks, immediately ask for assistance in conducting a therapy.

A specialist may conduct a therapeutic session at home.

Medications can also be a self-help treatment. But before opting for self-medication, make sure to seek professional help to get appropriate prescription. While therapy helps you identify and eliminate factors that cause your anxiety panic attacks, medication will help maintain balance in the chemical components of your system.

Despite the promising benefits of therapy and medication, you should know that recovery and healing does not take place over night.

Medication and meditation takes time to take full effect. Moreover, complete healing requires optimism. Think positive and stay positive.
